Bulbs have been planted by the local school children.
The Council helped by providing the bulbs and digging the holes.
We've now got our noticeboard.
Thanks to the Council, the Civic Society and the Councillor's Local Area Committee
The AGM was 20th October, Drill Hall, Cheadle, Stockport.
Over 20 poeple from the area attended. All the current committee members were re-elected.

We've got some money!
Many thanks to the Green Space Development Fund who gave us £836 for our noticeboard.
Also to Stockport Council Area Committee Flexibilty Fund who gave us £1000! (May 25th 2010)
We've also got offer from Councillor Jones to provide some volunteer help.
Expect to see a task day soon,

Hall Street Green
Residents in the Hall Street/ Lime Grove Conservation Area could soon be enjoying improvements on the pretty but neglected green area at the back of St Mary’s Church.
A sub-group of the Residents’ Association , the “Friends of Hall Street Green” committee, circulated a survey to all householders, asking how they would like to improve the green. About 40% replied.

At the moment (March 2010) we have set up a committee, asked neighbours for their views and what they want from the green, had several meetings with parks department and groups who have pledged support, and we have applied for grants.
We have asked for funding for a noticeboard so we can advertise our work and promote our sponsors.
Our immediate plans are to have a task day and paint the railings, do some planting and put up nest boxes. We have...
